We are a family with 3 children 6mo/1 yr/5yrs and we like to buy/sell/trade clothing, non-expired FORMULA, toys, cd's, DVD's, etc. Tell me what you need and I may have it. So, I am wondering, has anyone actually received real, tangible, immediate help on this page?

I would definately check out the info that the poster "positive thoughts" sent to you - there is help out there!!! Legally there are eviction laws that landlords have to follow. U may be able to have some time to find other living arrangements - depending on how long this situation has been going on. U don't mention if you already have help from your local DHHS or human services agencies. What about controlled rents or even sharing rent with a friend or family member? Do you get child support? I am a single mom and I know how hard it is to get this stuff done, especially if u r also trying to work at the same time. I would NOT give up. It could be worse, you could lose your children - do not put your kids in the system. Even if you stay at a shelter, keep your kids with you. Stay intact as a family as much as you can.

Do you have friends or family that can temporarily help??? What about local GoodWill or Salvation Army offices? They sometimes have emergency funds to help someone in your situation. i think your profile mentions that you are a housekeeper? Is this for a private person or for hotels, etc??? Have you thought of ways to improve in your job such as getting a job where maybe you could get employed by someone who has live-in quarters for house help? If you need help getting a resume and cover letters together I can help you for free. I know it does not help immediately, but that may be a goal for future (more pay, not having to worry about rent, a safe place for your kids, etc.) - I don't know what kind of opportunities there are in your area, but you could even post on craigslist and with job placement companies to try to begin looking for such a job... just some thoughts. i know it's hard to try to figure out what to do, maybe other people's ideas can help....

if you read my recent public post today, i mention how we could alert more actual "donors" for help to this page and the plights of the people that are on it. "whoknew's" idea for a "society" is a good one and may work, how can we get this idea in front of people/groups that actually have money to help with the types of cash/payments requests that we see on this page??? I myself have searched for foundations, donors, etc. in my state without much success. Is there any such thing???? I hear so much about Bill Gates and other multi-rich people giving money to philanthropy and causes to help the poor, but where is the PUBLIC ACCESS to this money/help???? does anyone have any ideas?

I still have my own problem of coming up with some money that i am short for payments (my $1,000 problem has been, GRATEFULLY, wittled down to a $250 need within the next day or 2.
Again, I work for an OK wage, and i can pay this back with cash and any other help that might be needed.

hello all - I know that it is short notice, but I'm wondering if anyone would have any further leads on obtaining possible financial help - my problem is 1,000 BUT at this point even 500 would help as I am searching in my local area for help as well! I really will have a desperate situation by tomorrow a.m. if i cannot find help. I see that there are so many other people in bad situations and I plan to help as soon as I can! got to get out of my problem first!!! Thanks so much for reading this and trying to help!

 in response to whoknew...   Hello "whoknew" and others in this community - I just checked out the 2 possible options you had send to me and unfortunately "Prosper" is not available in my state (Maine). The other site, modest needs, may be a future possibility but will probably not be able to help me by my deadline which is tomorrow, March 14 at 4pm EST. I will face a legal issue (i've never been in legal trouble before!!!) if I cannot pay this bill - in other words these people say they will make a complaint to my local police dept. if i don't pay. I have 2 young children at my home and I wouldn't want to subject them to this!!! Anyway, this was all due to a dumb mistake on my part and I can explain in confidence, to any party that is willing to help me... again i may be able to help in additional ways, as well as paying back the money, i have alot of experience in many areas of life, and i also sell stuff on Ebay (kids/women's clothing, household items) that I would be willing to donate to needy families. Thank you all again for reading my post!

p.s. regarding my plea for a short-term loan of $1,000, I have many skills that I could offer help to someone that is able to help me! I am a 2nd degree Usui Reiki practitioner, I am a gifted "sensitive" energy reader through Tarot. I have alot of life experience that i could share and help someone through a difficult time. PLEASE anyone who knows someone that may be able to help me with my 1,000 problem, contact me asap. I will pay back in any way possible!!!

I have an urgent need to borrow $1,000 to be paid back within 30 days. Interest negotiable. In a very difficult situation with legal problem - being threatened with legal stuff for a mistake I made. Single mom, responsible person, dealing with people who are not flexible. I make good money, but like all of us with children, and who actually work, it is very hard dealing with bills and needs. I have been trying to seek out help in other places with no luck. Don't want to burden family as they have helped me so much in past. I can pay this back. I just need someone to help out in an urgent time. I need this in 2 days (wired? or paid for me by telephone????) by Monday, 2/14/11 like around 4pm !!!! I will share all needed info when you contact me. (I myself have helped people in the past and I plan to do more when i get back on my feet!!!)
